Okay, here's something really exciting. This may be your one and only chance to get your name into a real book - one that's written by me! I write quite a lot of books, so I need lots of names for characters - names like yours. So this is your chance to get your name into one of my future books. All you have to do to enter this free competition is send me an email with the following things in it:

your first and last name (in that order)
your age
whether you're a boy or a girl (some names can be both)
the country your name comes from (e.g. German, Vietnamese, Sudanese, etc)
what your favourite Michael Wagner book is and why (up to 50 words or so)

Don't work too hard on that last part. I just included it because I love getting nice feedback. It makes me feel soooooo good! :^)

Firstly, I'll send you an email to let you know your name has been chosen, and to give you a rough idea of when the book will come out.
Your name will be used for a character in a future book of mine, a proper book that's in shops and everything (but beware, you might end up as a tiny character, or a main character, a good guy or a bad guy, a kid or an adult, or even a really, really old person, or perhaps a duck - you just never know! But, hey, that's the fun of it.).
I will sign a copy of the book you are in and post it to you before it's even in the shops.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the deadline?

There isn't one! I expect to write new books for years to come - maybe forever - so I might as well just keep getting new names for ages.

What sort of names do you want?

All sorts of names: normal ones, funny ones, strange ones, ones from all sorts of different races. I have lots of different characters in my books from all sorts of backgrounds. And because I'm not really sure what names I will need in the future, I reckon the safest bet is for you to just send yours in and hope for the best. Your name might even be the spark of a whole new main character!

How long before a book with my name comes out (if I win, that is)?

If you win, I'll send you an email to let you know, but it may be a few months before that happens. So it's probably best to send your entry, then just sit back and relax, knowing you've done all you can. If you end up winning, you'll find out soon enough! But if you're getting impatient, maybe check this page every now and then. I'll post the winners names up here when they've been finalised.

So that's it - the most exciting competition ever in the history of children's books! And, who knows, you might end up with your name in a real book!
